Account Manager – Electric Vehicle Revolution

Location: Field Based (Manchester) with appropriate travel to prospective customer sites

Salary & Package: Circa £25K – £30K Basic & OTE £36K – Fully expensed Hybrid company car, mobile phone and laptop, plus additional benefits.

The Company

Our client provides cutting edge technology to the rapidly growing EV (Electric Vehicle) market. They have secured major relationships with the leading automotive manufacturers. Due to the expected growth within the emerging EV market and the number of EV’s on Britain’s roads expected to reach close to a Million by 2020, this is an exciting time to get involved.

The Role

Your role will be to work with an existing portfolio of car dealerships in your region to educate on the current product line and to increase the number of home charging stations sold with new electric and hybrid cars. Part of your role will be to provide training and support to your clients.

You will have had experience selling to or managing a portfolio of dealerships both franchised and non-franchised.

Duties include: –

  • Meeting profit and unit targets set by the business on monthly, quarterly and annual basis by taking ownership of your own accounts and work load
  • Working with your portfolio to ensure regular visits and reviews are carried out.
  • Keeping logs and providing monthly data on appointments attended
  • Working closely with all other internal departments to ensure all services required by the customer can be delivered
  • Communicating relevant information and updates to Managers and Directors

Key skills;

  • Proven negotiation and B2B sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and telephone
  • Knowledge of the Automotive sector and the competitor market
  • Presentation skills
  • Experience in influencing and persuading to deliver solutions and win business
  • Target and opportunity driven
  • Strong decision making skills, tenacity and resilience.

Candidates with a background selling to automotive dealers aftermarket sales such as Motor Finance, Insurance, Warranties, Tyres etc. Those from a sales background will have an advantage.
