Area Sales Manager – Essex

Our client is a renowned asset management and engineering services specialist that have been established for over a decade. They have gone from strength to strength in recent years and record an incredible UK turnover exceeding £200m. A leading UK
distributor for materials handling equipment, also providing further services which include aerial access, industrial cleaning, ground works, agricultural plant and machinery. As an Area Sales Manager you will need to be driven, charismatic and commercially aware.

What the Area Sales Manager will do:

·Developing sales plans for existing and prospective customers, in order to achieve annual sales targets in terms of revenue, profit and units
·Identifying, prospecting, pursuing and closing competitive strategic sales opportunities
·Building external relationships with key people within customer and prospect organisations enabling the long-term partnerships to be developed
·Gathering and analysing relevant market data to identify emerging commercial opportunities and trends within the market
·Ensuring accurate and timely completion of placing orders and generating quotations, as specified by the company
·Working in conjunction with the National or Regional Account sales teams to close strategic sales opportunities

What the Area Sales Manager will have:

·A proven track record in direct sales within the materials handling sector
·Excellent presentation and communication skills
·Detailed industry and product knowledge with a solid understanding of marketing principles and account planning
·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
·Strong IT skills
